Out of Africa (twice) and Back Home to Indiana (soon)

I just read an interview with a writer who talked about not being able to write about an experience until she’d had some time to compost it into her life. And that feels like a good verb to use when I think about how the two trips I made to Africa have been both breaking down and feeding new things in my brain and heart. So lots of beginnings in my notebooks… In the meantime, here’s a bit about being in Kenya and Sierra Leone with IWP. Not sure why this picture looks like a funhouse mirror. I’ll have ask my cute techie (husband).

And already looking forward to teaching at the Indiana University Writing Conference in June.
